Whispering Whale is an epic novel charting the destruction and the eventual cleansing of the planet with a huge reduction in the population of the human species. It takes the reader into a post-apocalyptic world of survival and hardship. However, it all has not been without reason and there comes a rebirth. It is a strongly spiritual story with the characters discovering themselves and a whale with a gift to bestow.

It is through the ordeals, both emotional and physical, of Justin and Nicole, that the reader discovers the intentions of the whale and how the interaction will result in a new humankind. The depth of detail is the signature of this saga of a future that is extraordinarily plausible and terrifying. But, it is not with out reason and will lead to a new humankind. The literary style is compelling, full of natural and physical observations and descriptions.

The detail of the earths evolution is stunning and the intensely graphic. The asteroid encounter with the earth is authentic and chillingly relevant in todays climate of scientific awareness.Commentary: Hey Storyteller, I got the book a few days after Hurricane Sandy. No serious problems, except no power for 7 days. Couldnt put it down. I just got finished and wanted to tell you how F%#*&IN A AWESOME it was.Ive been telling everyone about it. I see movie possible... JP Staniecki , New York, NYI am no longer the same man and I will be an old man before my mind ceases to revisit Whispering Whale.

Thank you Edward, for this most unique experience. M Van Osdol, Coos Bay Or.Hello Edward. Thank you so much for Whispering Whale. I had a jut wrenching literally response to the story as I read it. I was totally gripped. It was as if the tale came from our collective consciousness and I was remembering the experience in all its terror.

I felt uplifted and finally calm during the last chapter. Truly an archetypal tale and one that should be read widely.Melita. Oregon House, Yachats, Or.Hey ED, that was me who scored a copy of Whispering Whale sitting in a booth at the entrance of Holiday Hall. What a boom! My husband was home, stir crazy with a hand injury healing up, and he plowed right through the book. I received a blow-by-blow update by him as he progressed from front to back. What a GREAT story line!!! Cliff hanger from the early on. Ya did good. Thanks everso! The Felting Needle, Eugene OR.I must tell you that is one of the best books Ive ever read in along time.

I work full time and read the book in three days. It is the type of book you cant put down. I do hope Edward you will consider writing another...so many unanswered questions. The end left you hanging, as if another book would be coming out to answer the questions. Please Edward, please write another book. Charlie Hill, Lakeside, OR.I found myself this week without much sleep. As I read, I lost complete track of time. I found myself at work looking forward to another relaxing night curled up with a very serious thought provoking yet light heartedly written read.

Needless to say, I hope you have the sequel done as it is just not fair to leave me hanging like that. What about the kids? The pearl? Destiny? And, the transformation. Brenda, North Bend, Or.Wow! Ed, your book just blew me away on many levels. The story was so entrancing I couldnt put it down!!! I wish there was more relevant books like this to read. The spiritual opportunities that the characters had was so inspiring. When I asked you if the if it had a happy ending, you said well, the whale dies of old age, and I said ok, I can handle that.

I am sure glade I took the chance because I will always remember the book.
